I. Project overview
Project Description: Retrofitting of internal heat insulation of external walls
Project Location: Minhang District, Shanghai
Pavement area: 48 square metres
Insulation material: Earthmother xps board 20mm thick, keel, no-nail adhesive
Specific process: grass-roots treatment → playing keel → embedded insulation board → fixed gypsum board
II. Construction process
1, Basic level cleaning, wall polishing to eliminate surface mortar, grease, surface flatness, the overall levelling deviation should not be greater than 4mm.
2, the old room wall sanding severe shedding serious need to brush the interface agent to enhance the surface adhesion. In this case, the wall surface is in good condition, and the insulation board adopts the brushing process, which can enhance the adhesion with the wall surface, so it can not use the interface agent.
3, the keel is fixed on the wall, need to pay attention to the thickness of the keel and the thickness of the insulation board to match. In this case, the thickness of the keel is 23mm, the thickness of the XPS board is 20mm, the insulation board and gypsum board after each use a layer of nail-free adhesive to fill the 3mm gap.

4, according to the keel spacing cut the size of the insulation board, insulation board on the application of nail-free adhesive. Nail-free adhesive needs to be non-corrosive to the insulation board.

5, when the insulation material is glass wool board, rock wool board, should be close to the indoor side, continuous laying of vapour barrier. The insulation material used in this case is XPS insulation board, low water absorption, low thermal conductivity, you can not lay a vapour barrier.
6, after the insulation board is pasted, start fixing the gypsum board. First of all, use white glue as an adhesive, and then use the air nail gun to fix the gypsum board on all sides on top of the wooden keel to enhance the firmness.

① Construction is simpler, because this construction case is earlier, using the traditional process of playing keel and plasterboard. The current iteration of graphite polystyrene board, with high strength adhesion, can save the step of playing keel directly on the wall, the outer of a layer of gypsum board, greatly simplifying the construction process.
② Comprehensive construction cost is relatively lower.
Cautions
① Doors, windows, nodes may produce "thermal bridge", resulting in thermal insulation effect is not expected.

More suitable for villas and self-built houses

Cautions
① The cost is relatively high, and the requirements for each material of the thermal insulation system are strict.
