From April 8 to 10, Earthmother successfully held its third and fourth sessions of the “Interior Insulation & Dry Underfloor Heating Installation Training” at its Jiangsu factory. Installers from cities including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Suqian, Zhenjiang, Nanchang, and Wuhan came together with a shared goal: to refine their skills and elevate their craftsmanship.

Due to overwhelming interest, the program was divided into two sessions to maintain an optimal learning environment with strong interaction. This ensured that every participant could gain meaningful, hands-on experience—and leave with skills that truly make a difference.

Understanding the “Why” Behind the Work

The training began not with tools, but with insight. Participants were guided through Earthmother’s development journey, sustainability philosophy, and process innovations, including the 2026 upgrade to a “100% Virgin Material Across All Product Lines” strategy.

Most installers are familiar with materials in practice but rarely have the opportunity to explore the logic behind them. At Earthmother, we believe that understanding why things are done a certain way is essential. An installer who understands materials and process principles will always deliver a fundamentally different—and superior—result compared to one who simply follows steps.

Dry Underfloor Heating: Two Systems, One Goal

The training focused on two key systems: EZ300 Pro and EZ350 Pro. Designed without the need for backfilling, these systems reduce floor height, provide rapid heat-up, and are increasingly favored by modern homeowners.

Starting from material characteristics and construction drawings, instructors demonstrated optimal layout strategies, including the precise use of universal connectors and straight panels, as well as the double “S” pipe configuration. The goal: to ensure pipes are positioned within appropriate stress limits—achieving both installation efficiency and long-term stability.

During the hands-on session, participants installed systems under expert guidance. One installer from Wuhan noted, “The training system is far more structured and detailed than expected. Following the process makes installation both faster and more reliable.”

Interior Insulation: The Hidden Layer That Defines Comfort

After mastering dry underfloor heating, the program moved into interior insulation systems. This session featured the Earthmother insulation panel, a composite of graphite EPS and high-quality gypsum board.

Compared to traditional materials, it offers faster installation, superior insulation performance, and enhanced resistance to moisture and mold.

The training broke down each step of the installation process in detail—from wall fixing techniques and adhesive application methods to insulation fastener spacing and positioning. While these may seem like basic steps, even small deviations can impact structural stability and long-term performance.

Special attention was given to window corners—areas most prone to condensation and mold in winter, particularly in southern regions. Proper treatment here directly affects the homeowner’s comfort season after season.

Panel joint treatment was another key focus. Improper handling can lead to visible seams, discoloration, or even mold growth over time—issues that are costly to repair and harmful to indoor health. By addressing these risks during installation, potential problems are eliminated at the source.

From Material to Manufacturing: Seeing Quality Firsthand

Participants also toured the production line of Earthmother’s XPS Board. From raw material input to foaming and extrusion, and finally to the finished boards with the signature embossed pattern, the visit offered a tangible understanding of what “environmental quality” truly means.

More Than a Certificate

At the end of the program, participants who completed the training and demonstrated outstanding performance were awarded certification as Excellent Trainees.

Behind each certificate lies three days of intensive learning and hands-on practice. It represents not just attendance—but genuine mastery.
